Awards & Recognition
We are one of the top-ranked rural hospitals in the nation, and we’re consistently winning awards for our quality of care.
In 2021, Alomere Health was recognized as a Top 100 Rural & Community Hospital for the fourth year in a row, making us one of only three hospitals in Minnesota to achieve this status. How do we consistently win awards and recognition for the quality of our care? It’s because of our people.
When you join Alomere, you join a talented team that’s doing amazing work. We’re changing lives together, and we’re looking for others who want to do the same.
The highly skilled professionals at Alomere could work anywhere they choose, and they choose Alomere. Many people on our team have moved across the country to enjoy the lake-country lifestyle of this part of Minnesota. Alexandria is one of the most popular destinations in the Midwest for resort and lake life, and it’s filled with people who value community, families, and each other. These are just a few of the reasons we’ve been named “Best MN Town” by Minnesota Monthly Magazine. If you don’t know Alexandria, come see what you’ve been missing.
Professionals come from all over to see our nationally acclaimed hospital—and they leave feeling blown away by everything this community has to offer.

“Coming from a bigger facility, I was really excited to get back to a small town feel. Alomere has the quality of care found in a large city, with all of the benefits of living in a small community.”
Madison Platt, Medical Lab Scientist
Alexandria is very community-minded and there are lots of activities here. I personally like attending all of the festivals with my friends at work. People really take care of each other here.
Taylor Anderson, Medical Lab Tech
My first job at a different rehab clinic lasted only nine months. It wasn’t the right fit. They were more about productivity and other practices that made me feel uncomfortable. With Alomere, the focus is on patient care. There’s a lot of integrity here.
Lindsey Sarkilahti, Doctor of Physical Therapy
I really enjoy working in mammography and seeing the patients that come back every year. I like doing a good job with my team and I feel like I’m contributing. I work with a great team. We all know the importance of early detection.
Virginia Dvorak, Radiologic Technologist
I love my job at Alomere. It’s a positive environment and I get to expand my knowledge and skills working alongside experts in the field of nutrition. I also like the idea that my work is meaningful and that it makes a real difference. I really enjoy serving the staff at Alomere and all of our patients.
Vanessa Kjersten, Food and Nutrition Services
I’m in love with this community. People here are humble, really smart and innovative. Yet they slow down enough to really get to know you. The difference as compared with LA, New York, or even Minneapolis, is palpable.
Elizabeth Jenson, Director of Rehab Services
The opportunities are endless. With so many different departments at Alomere, there are always options for career growth or variety.
Megan Noetzelman, Registered Nurse
There are a lot of jobs out there that might be easier than nursing, but few are as rewarding.
