Kristine graduated from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Grand Forks, ND with a Master of Physician Assistant Studies in May 2010. She received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the UND College of nursing in 1980. She is originally from Minto, ND. She is Board Certified through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, licensed through the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice, and a Fellow Member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

She last practiced as a Physician Assistant in Fergus Falls, MN at the Lake Region Healthcare Walk-In Clinic and at Prairie Ridge Hospital and Health Systems in Elbow Lake, MN providing Family Medicine to patients of all ages. She previously was a Clinic Manager/Director in Sioux Falls, SD, Certified Occupational Health Nurse, Quality and Risk Manager, OR Nurse and held many other positions throughout her nursing and professional career. She is also on faculty as an Adjunct Professor for the UND PA Program where she attended.

She and her husband Ken live on Lake Latoka and enjoy all of the activities lake country has to offer including boating, fishing, swimming, snow shoeing and snowmobiling. They have 3 grown children living in Sioux Falls SD and West Fargo, ND and 4 grandsons. She is a Master Gardener, photographer, and gourmet cook. She is a member of the Alexandria Golf Club and Vikingland Curling Club.
